“Sweet Wildflower Girl” is an original poem written for a little girl, paired with an original watercolor botanical composition inspired by the wildflowers I grow and gather here on our small Missouri flower farm.

Wild roses, daisies, and other delicate wildflowers become part of the artwork, creating a botanical design that is surprisingly realistic—even at first glance, the flowers can look like actual pressed botanicals. And yes—the flowers really did begin on our farm.

The botanicals in this piece were grown or gathered here, pressed, and then used as inspiration and source material, along with my own watercolor artwork, for the original floral design.

Please note: The flowers on the finished print are not the actual pressed flowers. They are part of the printed artwork. Their realistic, dimensional appearance is intentional and is one of the things that makes this piece special.
