Mini wreaths are so much fun...they provide the nostalgic, cottagecore vibe of a larger botanical wreath but unlike their larger versions, they can be used in so many places to add a pop of color or texture to your space. The dried flower mini wreath kits that I create are by far my best sellers, and I love knowing that the flowers I grow are adding beauty to so many homes. As magical as these wreaths are, however, they can be a bit tricky to decorate with! So, I have taken 2 colors of wreaths from my shop--Wild Plum and Heirloom blush--and photographed them in 7 different settings to give you just a few ideas of how you might use a small wreath of any kind in your own space. Let's get started!
1) Layer it on a Wall

One of the challenges of small wreaths is that they can get "swamped" by larger empty wall space if hung alone. While they certainly can be hung as part of a larger collection such as a gallery wall, if you want to "feature" the wreath in a larger space it is best to layer it over a larger piece. Shown above, I layered the wreath inside a painted tobacco basket, which is painted the same color as the shiplap wall behind it. The wreath is still prominent, but the added size and texture of the basket helps it fit into a larger space. This could also be done with a picture frame surrounding the wreath, or even setting the wreath inside a deeper basket hung on the wall. Play around with it and create a striking and creative wall accent for your home!
2) Hang it on a Hook

Everyone has hooks in their home...don't just use them for coats! Mini wreaths add extra sweetness to a hall coat rack or a bathroom towel rack.
3) Hang it on a Cabinet

Kitchen cabinets are the perfect backdrop for a pretty floral wreath...or a circle of holiday greenery to celebrate the season! To hang a small wreath on a cabinet door, place an adhesive hook upside-down on the top inside of the door, and then run the ribbon over the door and loop it on the hook. Easy!
4) Hang it on a Chair

If you have a wood chair displayed on a prominent place in your home...perhaps an armchair at the head of a dining room table or an antique chair sitting in the corner of the living room...you have a wonderful place to hang a mini wreath! Depending on how the chair is situated, you can hang the wreath on the front or back of the chair. Run the ribbon over the back of the chair and safety pin the ribbon to itself.
5) Hang it on a Frame

I am amazed at how a cute little wreath can add so much to a room--especially if the overall color scheme of the decor leans heavily neutral. In this bedroom, the plum-colored wreath not only adds a pop of color but also some softness and texture. If the frame is not deep enough for the wreath to hang well, use some double sided tape to hold it in place.
6) Use it as Part of a Shelf Display

If you enjoy creating seasonal shelf displays, floral or greenery wreaths as part of the collection can add color, texture and whimsy to the display. Lean the wreath against the wall or against larger pieces.
7) Use it as a Candle Wreath
